v 1: be vigilant, be on the lookout, be on one's guard, be careful; "Watch out for pickpockets!" [syn: watch, watch out] 2: to protect someone's interests; "A man's gotta look out for his family"

The street I was on was a rather busy one. In addition to the cars there were plenty of kids and parents on their bikes riding on the sidewalk just a few feet in front of this dog's fence. This is what he was so interested in. I wish I could show you the whole series of shots I took but that would be redundant and rather boring I'm afraid.
In taking the shots I was lucky I didn't get hit from behind... The moment I saw him I simply stopped my car. I didn't even check to see if anyone was behind me or put my blinkers on. "It was an OMG! Grab the camera!" moment. Thank goodness it was already out of my bag and on the front seat ready to go.
This shot simply reinforces my belief that a wrong turn, an familiar street, a detour, anything unexpected can be a great shot just waiting to happen. In this case, if I had turned left like I was supposed to and followed my normal route I would have missed this completely.
great shot! well spotted - and I know exactly what you mean by taking a detour sometimes to see what you can see - I try and take a slightly different route home from work everyday for exactly that reason I really like this photo - it makes you wonder if he made the hole in the fence himself - are they teeth mark holes you can see
Damn...that's my girl!! Great shot Babe! Glad you went out scouting, it's funny, you find the best pictures in the most unexpected places!
The composition is perfect...that sideways glance says it all, so mischievious...we've got to get this print!!!

Across the globe, 27 million men, women, and children live in some form of slavery. That is more people at this moment than in all the centuries of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Something must be done. This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.
